Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is a four-year undergraduate degree program focused on engineering, technology and practical problem-solving. The course provides students with technical knowledge along with practical and theoretical understanding of their chosen engineering specialization. During the program, students study subjects related to mathematics, science, programming, engineering fundamentals and specialized technical concepts.
B.Tech is offered in various branches such as Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Biotechnology. The subjects and syllabus depend on the selected branch and university.
During the course, students generally study engineering mathematics, engineering physics, engineering chemistry, programming, data structures, computer fundamentals, electronics, communication, engineering mechanics and other branch-specific subjects. Practical laboratories, assignments, technical projects and internships are also commonly included to provide hands-on experience.
After completing B.Tech, students can pursue careers in software development, engineering, IT, data science, artificial intelligence, electronics, manufacturing, construction and other technical fields. Students can also continue their education through M.Tech, MBA, MS and other higher-study programs depending on their career goals and eligibility.
